Castro and Tex Power Yanks to Series Win Over Houston

After dropping the home opener 5-3 on Tuesday as a result of a poor call, the Yankees bounced back with authority. They trounced Houston Wednesday night 16-6 and had a nice comeback victory 8-5 this afternoon.

The biggest headlines coming out of these games in the performance of Starlin Castro thus far. He has put on an absolute clinic at the dish the past 3 games.

Every fan in Chicago has to be clenching their teeth after seeing the way Castro has started in New York. While it's still early in the season, a number of things should have Yankee fans excited. Everybody is hitting. Last season, a 2-0 deficit meant that we would need to hope and pray for a homer. So far this year that hasn't been the case at all, the Yankee bats looks patient and more matured as compared to the 2015 season. Tex went yard twice, so did Castro, and homers from Didi, McCann, and Beltran are all reason to be smiling heading into the weekend series in Detroit.

It seems as if the tone is set inside the Yankees clubhouse this year, and that's all about winning baseball games. They have the bullpen to cut their starters some slack, and the bats to make games 6 innings with the trifecta of Betances-Miller-Chapman.
