Big Sexy Being Sued By Mother Of His Two "Secret Kids"

Wow.  What a story.  Not only does Beautiful Bart have a wife of 21 years, amazing control of his pitches, and the most powerful swing in baseball, but also two kids that no one knows about.

The guy gives ZERO fucks about anything.  He is the most nonchalant person in all of sports.  I have never heard him talk, and I don't think you will get a peep out of him about this.  To be honest, I am extremely intrigued to hear what he is being sued for.  He seems like a very mellow guy, but at the same time, having two secret kids while being married says something about you.

Regardless, he is pitching tonight against the Nats, so he better rip a dinger and pitch 7 scoreless like I know he can (will).

Big Sexy - you've outdone yourself again.

Hot Yanks Head to Arizona

After taking three of four from the defending champion Royals, the Yankees were able to take two of three from the surprising White Sox. They have now won three straight series' in a row and seem to be finding their stride. Due to their incredibly slow start, they are still just 16-20. However, things are looking up believe it or not.

Luis Severino has been nothing short of brutal thus far if we're being honest. With a 7.45 ERA he has been a disappointment, and his trip to the 15-day DL will hopefully give him a break. The bats have been consistent the past several games, as Chase Headley and Carlos Beltran have been producing. Getting Alex Rodriguez back in the lineup is something the team will look forward to, although they have really been playing better without him as of late.

Tonight they face the 17-23 Diamondbacks who will throw left-hander Robbie Ray (1-2, 4.84). The Yankees will start their new call-up Chad Green, a right-hander out of Louisville. In 37IP at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Green allowed just 5 earned runs, and racked up 36 strikeouts. With the inconsistency and now injury with Severino, the Yankees hope Green can stabilize a rotation who just lost CC Sabathia. I'm anxious to see how Green fares on the mound tonight, especially his first big league start on the road and on the west coast no less. The Yankee lineup will face a lefty in Ray tonight, and they have been ineffective against lefties this year, batting just .237 as a team.

Right now, the Yankees are hot and it'd be great to see this 24-year old kid Green toss a gem tonight. This could potentially be the kickstart this team needs to get on a real hot streak and give the Red Sox and Baltimore a run for their money.

First pitch at 9:40 tonight.

Bats Stay Hot as Yankees Take Game 2 From the Champs.

A week ago the Yankees do not win that baseball game. For some odd reason, the bats have decided to wake up these last five games. It's not the reinstatement of Chapman or the starting pitching that is winning these games for us. Sure it helps to have Tanaka go seven but that was only because of his pitch count, which was eerily low on a night where he gave up six runs. Masahiro's been great all year, but his record doesn't show for it because the Yankees haven't been scoring runs for him. They picked a good night to back their ace up, and Tanaka was able to shut down the Royals and get the Yankees back into the dugout when he needed to, like that lightning quick 1-2-3 inning in the seventh.

Like I said, if this game were played a week ago the Yankees lose this game 7-6 because their bats roll over and die. They seem to have an idea of what they're trying to do at the plate now and it's fascinating to watch. It's like, who knew major league baseball players were actually good at hitting the baseball? Well they are, and the Bombers aren't just hitting the ball, they're hitting it where they want. I haven't seen Didi Gregorius take a full swing since this home stand has started, but the guy has had some huge hits that have knocked in some big runs simply because of the fact that he's staying within himself. He's taking pitches that most guys wouldn't be able to do anything with and he's doing things with them. He doesn't care how he looks getting on base he just cares about getting there, and that's something every Yankees fan should drool over.

It's not just Didi either, as the Yanks have been getting big hits up and down the lineup. After that dreadful slump with RISP to start the season, the guys seem to be more aware of the situations they're being presented and in turn have a much better idea of what they're trying to do with the baseball. A good chunk of this home stand remains, so hopefully the Yankees can stay hot and start to really chip away at the AL East deficit.

Yanks Look For Severino to Deliver, Sweep BoSox

After two much needed wins, the Yankees find themselves finally on some sort of win streak. Friday night, they won a 3-2 nail-biter which involved a questionable call on David Ortiz. Ortiz and manager John Farrell were ejected from the game after arguing a low strike three call. Nevertheless, the Yankees caught a break, something that has been seldom thus far in 2016.

Yesterday, the Yankee lineup took it right to Cy Young runner-up David Price, tagging him for 6 earned on 7 hits. Didi Gregorious delivered in the 4th inning with 2-outs and the bases loaded, clearing the bases with a drive down the right field line. In the 5th, veteran Carlos Beltran also came through with 2-outs, doubling in 2 to make it 6-2. Hitting with runners in scoring position has been a crucial problem for the Yankees thus far, as they are still second to last in hits with RISP (.208). If they want to continue to win games, they need to get better with guys on base.

Both Michael Pineda and Nathan Eovaldi both logged quality starts after showing inconsistency. Eovaldi got the win yesterday after going 8IP with 6 hits, 2 earned, and 6Ks.

As for tonight's matchup, it is right-hander Steven Wright (2-3, 1.67) vs. Luis Severino (0-4, 6.31). Not only is this a golden opportunity to sweep the Sox after they swept us last weekend, Severino has a chance to prove his worth. Tonight's game is on ESPN, and all eyes will be on the struggling young right-hander. This season, Severino has been inefficient, throwing too many pitches and missing his spots. Personally, I think he just flat out hasn't had the great stuff he flaunted at times last season. By no means do I think that this start is make or break for him, but if Severino came out and delivered tonight it would be encouraging. I know Sev has it in him, and with a home crowd behind him tonight and a great lineup opposing him, he could be poised for a great outing.

Bring the brooms because god knows we need to sweep.

A-Rod Placed on 15-Day DL as Yanks Struggles Continue

Just when you thought things could not get any worse, it seems as if they have.

This afternoon, sources confirmed that Alex Rodriguez strained his right hamstring and will be placed on DL. Thus far, A-Rod has hit at an underwhelming .194 clip with 5HRs and 12RBIs. Nevertheless, the loss of A-Rod for the next two weeks is something the Yankees could not afford.

This team has not won a series since the opening week and have looked incredibly inconsistent in all aspects of their game. When the lineup hits the pitching is awful, and when the pitching is good the lineup doesn't produce. Lack of production has been the moral of the story for the now 8-16 Yankees, who take on the Orioles tonight in the second game of their series. After getting swept in Boston last weekend, the Yankees showed no signs of getting on the right track.

Luis Severino gave up 3 earned over 6.0 IP, giving up two home runs to the red hot Mark Trumbo. Trumbo is hitting .337 with 8HRs after the first month, proving to be a great acquisition for Baltimore. Tonight, the veteran left-hander CC Sabathia will face-off against Tyler Wilson as the Yankees look to end their 6-game skid.

While the season is by no means over for the Yankees, but being 8 games under .500 the first couple days of May is not where you need to be. This team needs to focus on taking it day by day, and winning every inning. If things do not turnaround quickly, I expect changes will be made before the deadline.

As a Yankees fan, you have to maintain a positive outlook and see how things play out. I for one have confidence in Girardi to get this team back on the winning track as he has in years past with sub-par teams. He's 743-577 in his 9 years thus far with the Yankees, and has always delivered when the odds were stacked against the expectations of the team. I don't foresee this year being any different and we will get back on the right track because I know this team has the talent to.

Draft Analysis and NYG Review

Number one offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil headlined the NFL Draft with his leaked video.  The video of Tunsil ripping a gas mask bong was released as soon as the draft begun.  The number one lineman then dropped to the third offensive lineman taken in the draft and the 13th pick overall.  Tunsil was projected to be the first lineman taken and at least inside the top 10.  With the 13th pick the Miami Dolphins rolled the dice and drafted Tunsil.  After the draft Tunsil then admitted to taking money from the coach at Ole Miss.  Text Messages show that the money may have been used to pay his mother's rent.  Either way it is a sticky situation for Ole Miss and Tunsil.

Onto the Giants... With six picks in the draft and one inside the top ten the Giants spend the 10th overall pick on DB Eli Apple from Ohio State.  Apple will be able to learn form D. Rodgers-Cromartie and new addition Janoris Jenkins.  If one of these guys go down Apple will provide depth at CB.  Also in passing situations he's good to lock up another WR.  I do not believe this was the Giants first choice but, with the Tunsil situation and Stanley and Conklin being drafted already, there was no other OL worth taking that high.  The Bears traded up to get Leonard Floyd and this is the guy I believe the Giants had their eye on, and once the Bears snagged him, they went with Apple, I don't hate the pick here.  Also wouldn't of minded Shaq Lawson here but Apple is a safe pick.
Next round they may have surprised some people with a WR pick Sterling Shepard out of Oklahoma.  Most people may have expected to go with a LB or an OL.  This pick gives them depth at WR behind Odell, and Cruz, after losing Randle to the Eagles.  You don't know how Cruz can perform after missing all of last year and half of the 2014 season.  Going with a WR here makes sense, Eli can't only throw to Odell if Cruz goes down again.  Giants also want WR Dwayne Harris to focus on returns and not burn him out at WR as well.
With their third pick they went with safety Darius Thompson out of Boise State.  Considering rookie Landon Collins was their only consistent safety last year the Giants definitely needed to add some depth after releasing Brandon Meriweather.  Giants really focused on improving their secondary in the draft, and maybe with Apple and potentially Thompson they can make some noise back there.
With the fourth pick Giants selected LB B.J. Goodson of Clemson.  Definitely lacking at LB to say the least Goodson was a captain at Clemson and has leadership ability on the field.  He is strong, good at filling the holes and taking on blockers but could lack coverage and making a play on the running back that is trying to get to the outside.  Overall a position that the Giants needed.
The fifth pick the Giants go with UCLA RB Paul Perkins.  This is easily my least favorite, don't know why they did it pick of the draft.  Perkins standing at just 5'10 208lbs is not a guy that is going to run you over.  Maybe if the Giants found a Brandon Jacobs like running back to improve their third and short scenarios in this round, I would like the pick.  With Perkins the Giants now have six RB's after signing Bobby Rainey from the Buccaneers, another signing that I don't understand.  Shane Vereen is their receiver out of the backfield and I'm unsure what Perkins brings to the table.  McAdoo says he is a complete back and can block, I need to see it to believe it.  Why not go with an OL pick here? Remember Richard Sherman was a 5th round pick, why can't the Giants find a diamond in the rough?
The final pick made up for the terrible 5th round pick.  Giants select TE Jerell Adams.  This may be the best sleeper pick of the entire draft.  Adams according to Todd McShay could be the drafts best TE.  Standing at 6'5 247lbs running a 4.65 (fastest by any TE in the draft) Adams is a force at the TE position.  He can block a DE, and at 6'5 go up in the air and grab a ball.  He is similar to Donnell their current TE, just an inch shorter and 20lbs less, but his 4.65 forty compared to Donnell's 4.91 can burst the Giant offense even more.  If Donnell goes down no worries Jerell is here!
Overall I think the Giants had a good draft, they got the positions they needed for the most part.  I give them a B+, can't give them anything higher based on the fact they ignored the OL.  They lack depth here and it's not often their OL stays healthy.  The Giants really need to go out there and sign someone who's gonna make a difference.  They could have gotten an A- if they drafted an OL in the 5th rd instead of adding a 6th RB.

Top 10 and other crucial draft picks:
Rams- QB Jared Goff
Eagles- QB Carson Wentz
Chargers- DE Joey Bosa
Cowboys- RB Ezekiel Elliot
Jaguars- CB Jaylen Ramsey
Ravens- OL Ronnie Stanley
49ers- DE DeForest Buckner
Titans- OL Jack Conklin

NBA Yoffs Starting to Heat Up

The Spurs/Thunder game last night and the Miami/Toronto game today were LIT.  Right now is arguably the best time of the year for sports and everybody needs to sit back and enjoy these games.  Anyway, let's get into it.

All anyone is talking about from the Spur's game are the last 15 seconds and for good reason.  My take on Dion Waiters push on Manu is that yes of course that's a foul but the Spurs got the ball back anyway and had a timeout which they didn't use.  So yeah it cost them a few seconds, but the Spurs had the ball at the end and had a few chances to get up a good shot/draw a foul.

Also, Tony Parker's no look behind the back pass to Aldridge who nailed the three was as good as it gets.

Next, this savage move by the Spurs fan who literally grabs Steven Adams and holds him back was a hilarious move. Obviously it didn't do anything at that point, but if it did that guy would be a hero in San Antonio (also wouldn't be allowed back in the arena but would be well worth it).

I thought the Spurs were gonna crush the Thunder all series after seeing the smackdown in game 1, but it looks like we have a series and I couldn't be happier.  Just a nice appetizer before the main entree of the WCF.

As for the Miami/Toronto game, just quickly wanted to touch on that game tying buzzer beater.
Ridiculous shot.  And good for him too because he had been awful all playoffs from 3 before that.  Great game from D Wade and it was really vintage Wade at the end - loses the ball and then comes up with the steal and the layup to seal the game after that.  That guy just does not get enough respect anymore.

I definitely like Miami in this series, maybe in 6 games and I actually see them giving Cleveland a run for their money next round.
