Just a couple minutes ago the MLB announced they will suspend Chapman for 30 games. Chapman reportedly will not appeal, contrary to prior belief. Sort of odd given that Chapman came out saying that he would appeal if he got suspended but the report stated that he would not. Aroldis even went as far as saying, "He's never hurt anyone in his life." Guess you have pal... Whatever. The Yankees acquired him for essentially chump change because there was some minor baggage.
So this isn't best news for the Yanks, it would have definitely been nice having the three-headed monster to kick the season off. But hey, we still have Dellin and Miller, which is still arguably the best setup-closer duo in baseball.
Also think it's great that the MLB decides to suspend him the day after he just mowed down every hitter that reported to spring training yesterday. It is what it is, he'll pay his dues, and we'll be playing six innings games by the second week of May. Without question.
